Eravikulam National Park (Rajamala)

This national park is spread in 97 square kilometer with high elevation grass land. Only place to see the mountain goats , this sanctuary is protected and is using for the tourism purpose also. A very close view to the rare species is possible here in the tourism area. Visitors can use forest department vehicles and can pass through the protected are. The core area of Rajamala is Anamudi the highest peak of south Indian.



It is located in 2700 meters from the sea level. No private vehicles are allowed here. Apart from the terrestrial orchids and beautiful wild balsams the fauna found here are Nilgiri Tahr, Nilgir Langur, leopard, tiger, bison and elephants. This park is closed in the month of January, February due the calving of the Tahr.
